Kirlin's is proud to be sponsoring the Sentiments for Soldiers Campaign September 1-30, 2010.  When you purchase a package of mixed holiday greeting cards for $5 (regularly $9.99) for our soldiers, Kirlin's Hallmark will send them overseas for our service men and women to use this holiday season.

Your local Kirlin’s Hallmark would like to assist in giving service people overseas the opportunity to send a special gift home this year. Each Kirlin’s Hallmark location will be accepting donations to help purchase boxed Christmas Cards to send to soldiers serving overseas. The program runs September 1-30, 2010. The assorted boxes of Christmas and holiday cards are regularly $9.99, but will be sold for a $5 (tax free) donation when you are purchasing them for the troops. Kirlin’s will then collect all of the donated cards and send them overseas in time for soldiers to send to their families at home. This is the 7^th year of the program, and to-date, Kirlin’s stores have collected over 2.5 million Christmas cards that have been sent to Iraq, Afghanistan, and all over the world where our troops are serving.

The holiday season is always a special time that you share with friends and family, but this year many families will spend a lot of time without their loved ones as American troops continue to be stationed all over the world. As these military service people work toward completing their mission, there is little time and usually no opportunity to purchase cards and gifts. Some troops are serving in remote areas in camp-like settings with only the necessary equipment, materials and supplies. In the midst of this turmoil, these cards will give the soldiers the opportunity to stay in touch with their loved ones. It allows them to be a part of their family’s Christmas celebration, even while they are stationed far away.
